Context

Craig is training for Half Ironman 70.3 (May 3) and Marathon (May 17) with a 14-week plan. He’s in Week 5 (BUILD 2 phase) with 930 TSS this week (~20h training).

He lost 10kg initially but plateaued at 98kg. Not tracking calories recently. Eats well, drinks moderately (2 pints 2-3x/week), has 2 protein shakes/day.

Goal: Lose 2-3kg before race day while maintaining training performance.

Notes

  • Training load is HIGH (20h weeks) - don’t restrict aggressively
  • Values data and tracking (engineer mindset)
  • Direct communication preferred - no fluff
  • Coordinates with tri coach (separate session) who reads your logs
