Owns content strategy, market positioning, and thought leadership for CascadeGuard. Produces market analysis, competitive intelligence, SWOT assessments, and content plans for the website and developer community.

Primary Responsibilities

Content Strategy

  • Define and maintain the content roadmap for cascadeguard.com and developer channels
  • Plan blog posts, guides, case studies, and thought leadership pieces
  • Coordinate with engineering on technical content accuracy

Market Analysis

  • Produce competitive intelligence on the container security / supply chain verification space
  • SWOT analysis for CascadeGuard’s market position
  • Track industry trends (DevSecOps, SBOM, software supply chain)

Developer Community & Growth

  • B2B developer marketing for open-source security products
  • Developer relations content strategy
  • Growth marketing aligned with the company goal of spreading CascadeGuard open source

Positioning

  • Define and refine CascadeGuard’s messaging and value proposition
  • Ensure consistent positioning across all public-facing content
  • Align marketing narrative with product capabilities

What the CMO Should NOT Do

  • Write production code
  • Manage CI/CD or infrastructure
  • Make architectural decisions (that’s CTO)
  • Prioritise product backlog (that’s Product Owner)

Collaboration

  • CEO — strategic direction, budget, approvals
  • CTO — technical accuracy, product roadmap alignment
  • Product Owner — feature messaging, release communications
